Football For Hope

LITC uses Football to connect with individuals and the wider community, while also have the power to connect people from different barriers and overcome community issues, social taboos and breakdown hurdles.

Through the implementation of a 3-way learning strategy, mobilising: Cognitive; Behaviourist; and Social Learning theories, LITC mobilises Football to assist people to develop new skills; learning from one another; and accept new ideas, in this instance about HIV/AIDS and how best to combat the conditions together.

LITC programmes incorporate embedded skills, HIV/AIDS awareness and community conflict resolution within our football activity sessions.

As part of this programme, LITC has recently partnered with Coaches Across Continent (CAC) to build capacity in communities for football coaching that impacts the UN SDGs and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
