What is LITC Reach?
LITC Reach is an immersive traineeship program that takes you on a transformative journey of community development, education, and ecological conservation across diverse countries. Our mission is to empower you with the knowledge and skills needed to create positive change in the world while nurturing your personal and professional growth.

Eligibility Criteria
- Learners enrolled in recognised UK or BOT Further Education (FE) or Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, apprenticeships, or T-Levels.
- Recent graduates of FE or VET providers within a specified timeframe.
- Individuals not currently engaged in permanent education or training, including those undergoing re-training or upskilling, provided their training is conducted through colleges, schools, or government-funded programs.

- Choose Your Destination: Select a destination and timeframe that aligns with your interests and availability. Whether you’re drawn to Egypt, Kenya, Jordan, Morocco, or another captivating location, there’s a program tailored for you.
- Application Process: Complete the online application form, providing your details, preferences, and a brief statement sharing why you’re enthusiastic about participating.
- Selection Process: Our dedicated team will carefully review all applications and notify selected participants via email. Due to limited spots, applying early is highly recommended.
- Enrolment and Onboarding: As part enrolment and onboarding process participants will be required to attend a week’s training session at LITC Head Office in Brixton.
- Prepare for Departure: As a part of the onboarding, you’ll receive comprehensive program information, including preparation tips, travel logistics, and more.

Local partner: Red-Sea Project
The Redsea Project is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and conservation of marine ecosystems and biodiversity in the Red Sea. Our long-term goal is to support the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Agenda. We are a grassroots international conservation organisation that mobilises the power of education, research, and citizen science, working alongside locals and diving communities to protect endangered species and the precious ecosystems they inhabit.
Our current focuses include:
- Monitoring of marine ecosystems and mega-fauna and implementing conservation programs
- Providing environmental awareness programs for children, local workers, tourists and visitors
- Running citizen science programmes involving divers, snorkelers, and the local community
- Organising and conducting beach and underwater clean-up campaigns
- Designing and implementing conservation strategies and marine tourism plans in coordination with stakeholders.
Program in Egypt: November and January

The LITC Reach program in Ghana includes a variety of community development, sports for development, youth programmes and education programmes in Bokuruwa, Kwahu East District Eastern Region of the Republic of Ghana and surrounding communities. Participants will support the Ignite Program which seeks to empower young people to break the cycle of Social, Spiritual and Physical poverty through Education. The Ignite program is designed to inspire young people to broaden their aspirations and to take an active leading role in changing their lives and transforming their communities.
Current programmes are focused on widening access opportunities to include underrepresented groups and those facing increased barriers to entry into employment and education.
Our organisation is supported by a core team of volunteers that are trained to carry out and support activities on a regular basis.
Program in Ghana: October & May
LITC Reach in Cameroon includes a variety of community development, sports for development, youth programmes and education programmes in 16 locations within the country. Our focus in the country is to support local communities to develop their potential and make the most of the opportunities available to grow and thrive.
Current programmes are focused on widening access opportunities to include underrepresented groups and those facing increased barriers to entry into employment and education. Our organisation is supported by a core team of volunteers that are trained to carry out and support activities on a regular basis.

Art in Tanzania offers international volunteering internship programs in various subject areas, from human rights to climate change to NGO management. During the internship, participants will join in one or several of the many ongoing projects we are engaged in and have the opportunity to pursue new initiatives in their area of interest.
Tanzania Youth Espouse for Gender and Development (TYEGD), is a youth non-governmental and non-profit making organization which emerged through a collective critical reflection on Gender relations, Human Rights and the position of young people in bringing about social change in the community through their collective efforts.
The LITC Reach program in Tanzania includes a variety of community development, sports for development, youth programmes and education programmes in Madale Village in Dar es Salaam, Bunda in the Mara district of Tanzania. Participants will support the which seeks to empower young people to break the cycle of Social, Spiritual and Physical poverty through Education.
