YOUNG PEOPLE Careers Advice

LITC engages with young people throughout the UK to encourage participation in society, employment and learning. Through our Youth Programmes and dedicated team of Youth Officers, LITC's supports young people from a range of backgrounds to move forwards, gain qualifications, develop Life Skills, obtain employment and give back to their communities.

Through a robust mentoring system, LITC is actively trying to improve the opportunities available to young people in this country and help them make a difference in their own and other's lives.

We offer Apprenticeship schemes in a range of industries, including: Business Administration, Customer Services, Retail, and Hospitality Services. Other programmes include LITC's SFA Right Futures, encouraging young Londoners to volunteer in their communities, while also gaining useful skills and experience and move towards employment, education or training; and Youth in Action which promotes active participation, EU citizenship and Youth Democracy.

All participants learn how to design an engaging CV, ensuring it incorporates all the key information a candidate needs to include, such as Employment History, Education, Profile, Skills profiles and Achievements, while understanding why this is so important. Participants will also learn about how to adapt CVs in-line with their job search activity.

Participants will also learn from role plays and mock interviews to deliver a winning interview and also learn wider elements of Job Search, such as requesting feedback on interviews, which allows them to develop further in the future.

All of our bespoke Skills programmes come with an individual support service, incorporating Careers Advice; Skills review; Skills action; and self-development planning.
