Lionel is responsible for the day to day strategic direction of our organisation. He started his career in the Recruitment sector but has always aspired to run community-focused projects. From 2009 to 2013, Lionel was Operations Director at LionHeart Recruitment and LionHeart Domiciliary Care Services Ltd. Lionel is a qualified Assessor and holder of a Level 4 Award in Management. Lionel is passionate about Social Inclusion and Sport for Development and holds an MSc in Sport Management & Business of Football.

Alice Piller Roner

Head of Work Based Learning Department

Alice is an experienced project and operations manager with a background in research and international development. She has previously worked with charities and SMEs in Europe and the Middle East to manage and improve fundraising and operations. Alice has been working as a teacher and teacher supervisor for over 5 years, developing educational and assessment programmes. She volunteers for numerous organisations as mentor and adviser. Her passion outside work is fitness and yoga.

Playne Kensington

Head of International Development Department

Playne is an enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate advocate for International Human Rights Law.  A Policy Postgraduate in Law having recently completed a PhD in International Law on Women’s Rights and Female Genital Mutilation. Her experience lies in Project Management, HR, Capacity Building, Legal Compliance, and Policy, Research, Evaluation and Client relationship management. She joined LITC in the summer of 2015 to take a managerial, capacity building and business development lead for our projects and partnerships in the Global South, having previously pursued a career in Legal, Financial and Project Management Services over the last ten years. Playne spends the majority of her time outside work researching. She also enjoys travelling, theatre, polo, photography, cycling, salsa, jazz and socialising.  She is also fluent in English and French.

Kelly Kum

HR & Finance Officer

Kelly manages LITC’s HR & Finance operations. He holds a BSc in Management and a MBA in Finance. He is a qualified Assessor and is currently working towards his CIMA qualification in Accountancy.

Cristina Gomez

Fundraising Assistant

Cristina is an enthusiastic and committed graduate in Tourism.  She  also holds an MA in Human Resources and has previously worked as a Project Assistant Manager and Administrator. She experienced in managing and organising Children’s Summer Schools after her years at University in Spain.

Outside work she enjoys socialising with family and friends and keeping herself healthy practising sports. She loves spending her time working on her own blog and learning new things. She is passionate about photography, Art, Travelling and Nature. 

Macarena Chaviano Sanchez

Programme and Social Media Administrator

Macarena graduated as a Social worker in Spain in 2010.  She has experience working for a variety of Non -Profits and has experience in Drug prevention, Vocational Training for Employment and working with young women's refugees.  She is very passionate about social work, media and wants to pursue a career in Youth and Social work.  In her spare time she enjoys travelling, socialising, free styling and reading about feminism and psychology.

Charles Yassin

Senior Youth Officer

Charles is LITC's Youth Officer and specializes in the recruitment of learners, learner achievement, attendance, and retention and resource development. He supports young people to work towards their apprenticeships, volunteering and to become active citizens.  He also acts as a mentor, providing career advice, delivering transnational workshops and providing skills development training.  He joined LITC in October 2013, supporting various projects, providing workshops and training for young people.  He studied Drama and English at Brunel University and is a qualified teacher, having recently completed his PGCE in 2013.  He has worked across the youth sector as a senior support worker, a teaching assistant and is passionate about film making, especially documentaries and short films.  He enjoys travel and has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East. In his spare time he also enjoys learning new languages and is currently studying Arabic.


Dolly Byfield

Admin Manager

Dolly is currently the Administrative Manager at LITC she is in charge of smooth running of administration within the organisation and works within Apprenticeships and 24+ loans.  Before joining LITC, Dolly started as an Apprentice and worked her way up to a Quality Assurance Manager with another Training provider.  She worked there for three years and was leading the data and compliance systems.  She has extended knowledge of SFA funding rules.  In her spare time she enjoys travelling and exercising.  

Louise Southon

Learner Support

Louise is studying towards her apprenticeship in Business Administration. She is working with LITC to achieve this qualification. She assists with key Office Administration and IT suite management including OneFile and For Skills.  Louise has over 3 years’ of experience in Administration and at Reception; she is working towards gaining her qualification to improve her career options.  She is a team player who is keen to learn, listen and receive advice.  She prides herself on providing outstanding customer service.  Outside work she enjoys fashion, socializing, and travelling.


Vince Lee

Head Sports Coach

Vince has been working in Sports and Youth development since 2007, he joined LITC as a Sports coach in 2014. He is working with LITC on all our sports programs; Sport Educate, Football For Hope, EU ACT Sports! and is working on future community programs. He is very passionate and motivated about coaching and helping young people attain their dreams through sports. He is also a qualified Educator and in his spare time he mentors and coaches football sessions.

Colleen McFarlane

Internal Verifier / Quality Assurance Manager

Colleen has been an Asessor and Internal Quality Verifier for twenty years.  She also has experience in Centre Management and setting up centres for approval with awarding bodies.  She works within Business Admin, Customer service, Retail, Hospitality, Social Care Levels 2/3 with 16-24+.  Her role is to undertake sampling of assessment and quality assurance decisions and records for QCF competence based qualifications and customised awards within a subject area, in order to affirm that standards have been achieved and upheld. Support, advise and guide the Centre based on the outcomes of the sampling process. Direct the Centre in the delivery of QCF competence based qualifications and customised awards towards the achievement of the specified standards. Outside work she enjoys Sports, International Travel , Swimming, Reading and Horse riding.

Olisa Nwabueze

Health & Social Care IQA

Olisa is a qualified assessor and IQA and has worked as a verifier with a variety of workbased learning providers over the past four years. His competent areas of assessment include Health & Social Care and Children and Young People Workforce. Olisa is passionate about training and skills development and helping others achieve their dreams. In his spare time, he engages in public speaking and likes to read, listen to music and watch or play football.

Tegha Kum

Functional Skills Tutor

Tegha has a strong background in business operational management, having previously worked as an Operations Manager. He holds an Maste's degree in Business Administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University and is also PTLLS qualified. He is currently working towards his TAQA qualification. 


Kum Chi

Internal Quality Assurer

Kum is a motivated hard working individual, who thrives on challenges and is very passionate when working with young people.  He joined LITC as an Employee Engagement Advisor and was promoted to an Administrative role. Kum is currently a Trainer for Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance, and Level 3 Training for TAQ Assessors across all frameworks.   He has managed the day to day administration of the ESF Right Futures and obtained volunteering placements for young people. Kum has a degree in Business management and is currently studying the Prince 2 Practioner course.  Outisde work Kum enjoys travelling, reading, Sports, Opera, Theatre and Arts.

Abdelkrim Fenni


Abdelkrim is a qualified assessor with a  teaching background. He has over 10 years of experience in assessing generic qualifications in: Business & Administration L2 / L3, Customer Service L2 / L3, Team leading L2, Management L3 and  Leadership and Management L4. He has a PTTLS qualification and enjoys working within Education.  In his spare time, he enjoys travelling watching and playing Football.

Akosua Dompreh

BACS Assessor

Akosua is a professional Teacher, Trainer in Management, Business Administration, Team Leading, Customer Services, Retail, Health and Safety related courses with experience and excellent learners-centre skills gained through employment. She is passionate, flexible and adaptable.  She has a Master’s in Education, and Postgraduate in Early Years, and has been teaching for the last 10 years in Customer service and Administration. She previously managed a child care organisation and has spent her life managing and teaching young people. She prides herself on helping young people to achieve their full potential; outside work she enjoys socializing and teaching Sunday school.

Sonia Chigbo

Health & Social Care Assessor

Sonia was born in London in 1962 but spent her formative years in her native Nigeria. After being inspired caring for her elderly mother in Nigeria, Sonia moved back to the UK to work in the care sector. She recently worked as a Care Co-ordinator for a large UK care provider. She achieved her TAQA and PTTLS in 2013 and is now an assessor with LITC.
